Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 28, 2026
Party Squad runs browser-based party games. This policy explains what information may be collected when you visit the site, create a room, join a room, sign in, or play a game.
Information we collect
We may collect the name you enter for a game, room codes, game choices, answers, scores, reactions, lobby actions, and other gameplay events needed to run the room.
If you sign in, our authentication provider may give us basic account details such as your user id, display name, and email address. We may also use cookies, local storage, and similar browser storage to remember your player id, recent room, preferences, and session state.
We may receive technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, logs, timestamps, and connection events so the service can load, sync, secure, and troubleshoot rooms.
How we use information
We use information to create and join rooms, sync live gameplay, show results, save progress or XP when enabled, prevent abuse, improve the service, debug errors, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. If paid features are enabled, payment information is handled by a payment processor and not by Party Squad directly.
Session recording
We use PostHog to record anonymous user interactions — including mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and in-app navigation — to understand how players use Party Squad and improve the product. These recordings do not capture passwords, payment details, or sensitive form inputs.
Recordings are linked to a randomly generated anonymous identifier, not to your name or email address unless you are signed in, in which case the recording may be associated with your account to help debug issues you report. You can opt out by blocking PostHog in your browser or through a content blocker.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help operate Party Squad, such as hosting, authentication, databases, analytics, logging, email, and payment providers where applicable.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer.
Rooms and player content
Party Squad rooms are social spaces. Names, answers, guesses, votes, clues, ratings, scores, and reactions may be visible to other people in the same room. Do not enter private or sensitive information into a game room.
Retention and control
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for gameplay, records, security, debugging, account features, or legal compliance. Some browser data can be cleared through your browser settings.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information. Contact us through the support channel listed on the site to make a request.
Children
Party Squad is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review it.
Changes
We may update this policy as Party Squad changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use or play Party Squad after an update means the updated policy applies.
